We are hired for the narrow role.

Companies come to Tephra when their own pipeline has not produced the person they need. That is good news for you: the searches we run are the ones where the specific thing you have done actually counts, rather than being averaged out against two hundred other applications.

So the detail matters. The product you carried on your own. The market you learned properly. The system nobody else wanted to own. Put that in what you send us, even if it does not fit neatly on a résumé.

We have been doing this since 1998, and a good part of our work is with contractors on multi-year engagements who come back to us for the next one.

We prepare you for the interview, carry the offer conversation, and help with relocation if the role needs it.

Contract work

How a contract engagement runs.

A large part of what we place is contract, some of it on multi-year engagements. Here is what that means in practice.

Length

Short-term through multi-year. Many of the people we place stay on an engagement for years and come back to us when it ends.

Right-to-hire

Common, and negotiable. If you want a contract that can convert to permanent, say so early and we will look for engagements structured that way.

Rates

Set against the scope, the duration and the market for your specialization. We will tell you the range before you interview, not after.

Relocating for a role

Relocation assistance is one of the services the firm provides. If a role is worth moving for, that part is handled rather than left to you.

Benefits and employment terms
